About VanillaX

VanillaX is a Minecraft client and server-plugin ecosystem by Scappi X Studios, built to add quality-of-life features and cosmetics without breaking server rules.

What VanillaX is

VanillaX has two parts. The first is the VanillaX Client: a Windows launcher and a Fabric client for Minecraft Java Edition, with quality-of-life modules and animated cosmetics. The second is the X projects: Paper server plugins, such as NationsX and CannonX, that add nations, economy and warfare to a server.

Why it exists

Most Minecraft clients mix useful features with ones that get players banned. VanillaX only ships the useful part. Before a module is added, it's checked against a public mod policy that lists 149 mods and whether each one is allowed. If a feature would give an unfair advantage (reach, aim help, X-ray, radar), it isn't built.

Who makes it

VanillaX is made by Scappi X Studios, the company of ScappiDoo, a Minecraft plugin developer who works on Paper server plugins in Java. Besides VanillaX and the X projects, the studio is building X Geopol, a Minecraft nations server that runs the X projects, and publishes general tooling plugins for Paper servers (chat, moderation, staff tools, support tickets).

How the parts fit together

• Scappi X Studios makes everything.
• VanillaX is the brand. It covers the client, the launcher and the X projects.
• X Geopol is the studio's Minecraft server, where the X projects are played.
• X projects are server plugins named <Word>X. NationsX is the centre, with FactoryX (tech tree) and PassportX (passports) as its add-ons, plus CannonX, CavalryX.
• Tooling plugins are general-purpose and work on any Paper server.

A note on the name

Several unrelated Minecraft projects are also called VanillaX. This VanillaX is the Fabric client and plugin ecosystem by Scappi X Studios, at scappixstudios.com. It isn't connected to any other project with the same name, including the VanillaX Minecraft server network at vanillax.net.
