What is VanillaX?
VanillaX is a Minecraft client and server-plugin ecosystem by Scappi X Studios, built to add quality-of-life features and cosmetics without breaking server rules. It is made of the VanillaX Client (a Windows launcher and Fabric client), the X projects (Paper server plugins such as NationsX), and X Geopol, a Minecraft nations server in development.
Can VanillaX get me banned?
VanillaX is built so that it shouldn't: every module is checked against a public mod policy, and the client has no reach, scaffold, aim help, X-ray or radar. Each server makes its own rules, though, so if a server bans all modded clients, follow that server's rules.
Is VanillaX a hacked client?
No. VanillaX is a quality-of-life and cosmetics client. Cheat features were never written, so they can't be turned on.
Is VanillaX free?
Yes, the VanillaX Client is free to download. Some cosmetics are bought with CoinsX, the launcher's in-app currency, and daily rewards also give CoinsX.
Which Minecraft versions does VanillaX support?
VanillaX runs Minecraft Java Edition on Fabric. The default profile uses the latest supported release (26.2 at the time of writing), and the launcher can create profiles for any Minecraft release from 1.19.
Does VanillaX work on Mac or Linux?
Not yet. The VanillaX launcher currently supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit only.
Do I need to install Java, Fabric or Minecraft first?
No. The VanillaX launcher brings its own Java and installs Minecraft, Fabric and the client for you. Everything goes into %APPDATA%\.vanillax. You still need to own Minecraft Java Edition and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Why does Windows show a SmartScreen warning?
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a warning the first time you run it. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only download VanillaX from https://scappixstudios.com or https://github.com/ScappiDoo/vanillax/releases.
What features does VanillaX have?
VanillaX has 43 modules in four groups: vision (zoom, fullbright, fog removal, custom crosshair), HUD (coordinates, armour, effects, FPS, CPS, ping, keystrokes, compass), world (terrain-only minimap, spawn light overlay, mob health, TNT timers) and inventory (sorting, chunk caching for longer view distance). It also has animated capes, hats, wings and pets, a friends list, and profiles for different Minecraft versions.
Can other players see my VanillaX cosmetics?
Yes, other VanillaX players can see your capes, hats, wings and pets. Players without VanillaX see your normal skin.
What are the X projects?
The X projects are Paper server plugins made by Scappi X Studios for nations, economy and warfare. NationsX adds nations, claims and wars. FactoryX (the nation tech tree) and PassportX (passports for travel between nations) are add-ons for NationsX. CannonX adds siege cannons, and CavalryX adds war horses and cavalry.
What is X Geopol?
X Geopol is a Minecraft nations server by Scappi X Studios, running the VanillaX X projects. It is in development.
Who makes VanillaX?
VanillaX is made by Scappi X Studios, the company of Minecraft plugin developer ScappiDoo.
Is VanillaX related to other projects called VanillaX?
No. Several unrelated Minecraft projects also use the name VanillaX, including a Minecraft server network at vanillax.net, a PocketMine plugin and older mods and servers. This VanillaX is the Fabric client and plugin ecosystem by Scappi X Studios at scappixstudios.com.
Is VanillaX affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft?
No. VanillaX is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
